A Call To Serve: Past, Present and Future
FSU ROTC Cadre is a NC incorporated 501(C)(3) charitable non-profit. It is organized to support and promote the FSU ROTC programs and to recognize and honor former FSU ROTC affiliates and others who have served honorably and meritoriously. The “cadre” moniker was carefully selected to embrace FSU ROTC and other military alumni, ROTC cadets (college and H.S.) as well as friends and supporters of the FSU ROTC Cadre organization.
Background
In 2021, several retired Air Force officers who are among FSU Detachment 607 original dozen or so commissioned officers, agreed to study an appropriate way to celebrate the quickly approaching 50th anniversary of FSU’s officer commissioning program. Ultimately, their thoughts grew beyond a simple event and morphed into organizing an effort that would “live and give” indefinitely. Thus, the inception of “FSU ROTC CADRE.”
The adopted theme “A Call To Serve: Past, Present and Future,” was also carefully crafted to acknowledge past accomplishments; to understand and help address present needs; and to assist cadet preparation for future careers in the military and service in the community.
